“Sustainable and Smart Cities Wing” event of the G100 Global Initiative was held in Istanbul with the leadership of Kale Group President Zeynep Bodur Okyay!
Founded by Dr. Harbeen Arora Rai, the G100 Global Initiative and Network aims to provide a worldwide, equitable, thriving and inclusive environment for women and consists of 100 different sector/area networks led by strong female leaders based in 100 different countries around the world. Zeynep Bodur Okyay has been the Global Leader of the “Smart and Sustainable Cities” Wing of the G100 Initiative since December 2021, leading the way in developing this issue on a global scale, including Turkey. Each sectoral network of the G100 Global Initiative led by 100 Global Female Leaders is supported by Denim Club Partners, who own and carry out related awareness and advocacy activities for a gender-equal future at a high level, acting as “He for She” champions. Alfonso Vegara has become the Denim Club Partner of the G100 Smart and Sustainable Cities Wing, with the invitation of Zeynep Bodur Okyay, providing support in the field of Smart and Sustainable Cities.
Visionary and experienced female leaders from 35 different countries have joined the G100 Smart and Sustainable Cities wing in its first year and it is planned to invite new country representatives in 2023. Moreover in 2023, it is planned to establish country networks consisting of city representatives led by female leaders in 100 different cities of Spain and India, which will be under the Smart and Sustainable Cities Wing.
Under the leadership of Zeynep Bodur Okyay, the G100 Smart and Sustainable Cities Wing plans to create global awareness and impact on smart and sustainable cities with its international collaborations, developing global policy proposals and projects in various countries in the field.
