NEWS: “EBAN (European Business Angels Network) Annual Congress Warsaw, 2011
The beautiful city of Warsaw and Poland’s “Lewiatan Business Angels” hosted the 11th Annual EBAN Congress from 12 to 13 of May. For the first time ever, the Congress was available in live streaming and reached a physical audience of 350 participants from 37 countries, making this a truly international learning opportunity benefiting from the knowledge and first-hand experience of the 40 speakers and moderators. EBAN 11th Annual Congress gathered the greatest investment institutions and financial providers in Europe. The Congress was dedicated to co-investment and syndication amongst different actors of the early stage industry and to the ongoing efforts to increase the professionalisation of European angel investors and networks.
The 6th Annual Award Ceremony was one of the highlights of this event. EBAN and the host and co-organizer Lewiatan Business Angels announced the winners of the 6th Annual EBAN Awards Competition that took place in the Polish National Opera in Warsaw (Poland). Since “Business Angel” and “Business Angel Network” is a developing area in Turkey, Ms. Berrin Benli who is the Co-Founder of NOVUSENS, participated to the 11th EBAN Congress to be able to analyze the existing “Business Angel Network” models to develop a new one that complies with Turkish culture and business approaches by establishing the related network, participating to subject matter workshops and developing international collaboration through her one-to-one meetings with related individuals, organizations and institutions during the Congress.
